Do you think Startup Accelerators can be improved and be much more efficient to produce viable/valuable/profitable startups?
Startup Accelerators do a fantastic job to support entrepreneurs to develop their idea into a sharp Minimum Viable Product with a smart & lean business model.
Hereafter, the evolution of organisations supporting entrepreneurs:
v0 New Venture or Startup Incubators provide working space + business administration support (shared Personal Assistant-Secretary, legal and accountancy services ...) +/- business consulting (IP, market research services, business plan writing, grant-subsidy writing services ...). These incubators are the ones of Universities or of Chambers of Commerce.
v1 Startup Accelerators provide [working space + business model mentorship + organization of elevator pitch events and meeting events with industrialists] in exchange of some equity. Examples of v1: The Founder Institute
v2 Startup Accelerators = v1+ direct Seed investment in each incubatee startup. Examples of v1: Y-Combinator or Startupbootcamp
So, what should be the v3 next generation of Startup Accelerators?
